Beach house on beautiful Matagorda Bay, only 12 miles from Port Lavaca.
This 900 s.f. home has 900+ s.f. multileveled deck surrounding house . The 1940's home has original painted wood floors, beadboard walls and ceiling. The living room/kitchen occupies fully 1/2 of the house with smoothtop stove, double door fridg/freezer, builtins and large windows overlooking the bay. The bedroom has plenty of closet space plus extra closets in bathroom, with antique clawfoot soaking tub plus large shower. The bathroom has 6 back windows which overlook the protected wetlands. Although there are only 3 rooms, they are spacious with 20 windows in all, giving great views in all directions. The home has new metal roof, 2 ceiling fans with remote controls, central heat/AC. It is fully furnished with queensize bed, sofa sleeper, and cable t.v. hookup. All linens, dishes, pans, etc. are here. There is also a large workshop on the property for the handyman (bring own tools) and plenty of storage there for bikes, kayaks, fishing gear, etc. In addition, there are washer/dryer facility in adjacent building. This would be a wonderful home for retired couple, wanting to try beach living in south Texas, or for writer, artist. Historic Indianola is a beautiful beach area, secluded, quiet, and as yet, undiscovered. Easy day trips to Rockport, Corpus Christi, or other resort communities .
